Work Week Lunch Specials
These days, everyone is looking to save a few bucks in any way that they can.
For the office worker, one of the best ways you can do this is by doing your best to eat cheap lunches.
Unfortunately, if you aren't bringing a lunch to work, it can add up very quickly and be quite expensive eating out each day.
The majority of lunch places around the country will offer some of the same types of deals and specials, so here are a few common ones to make sure you keep an eye out for.
Sandwiches and Soups
If you are working in a downtown area, there is a good chance that you can find a specialty sandwich shop somewhere near your office.
These are one of the best places to go if you are looking to get a quality lunch that can save you a few bucks.
Check out these kinds of bakeries for their soup and sandwich specials that you can typically combine in a meal with a drink for just a few bucks. Play your cards right, and you could eat here everyday in a week for probably under $40.
Taco Tuesdays
While you may just think of your local Mexican restaurant as the perfect place for post-work margaritas, you can pick up plenty of food deals throughout the week as well.
No matter how big the restaurant is, there is a great chance that they are going to be participating in some sort of "Taco Tuesday" deal.
For the early week lunch fix, hit up one of these kinds of shops and load up on these south of the border goodies for just a few bucks.
Happy Hour Specials
If you find yourself taking a late lunch, or simply dying for some food right when you get off of work, there are usually a plethora of different happy hour deals at any restaurant out there.
While you may not find anything starting until 3 p.m., a later lunch can pay off as far as your wallet is concerned as many restaurants will either feature half price dishes or a selection of smaller plates and appetizers for a few bucks to help get you through the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Other Sit-Down Restaurant Deals
If you have a little more time to kill during your lunch break, visiting a nearby sit-down restaurant may provide you with some great deals you don't usually hear about.
Many restaurants in your area likely have some type of rotating lunch special schedule that provides you with a full size plate at either half the price or usually 30 to 40 percent cheaper than normal.
If you are looking for a larger portion without spending the full price, check out some of your favorite spots to see what they have to offer.
